Hi, im looking for a good street racing style car from the 90s that’s affordable but fast. Im not acutely going to use it for street racing, but I will want it for some legal races. Basically a fast but sharp car from the 90s that can race. Kinda like a honda prelude? maybe just a lil bit nicer.
Thanks.

Honda Prelude SH or Vtec=known as the best handling FWD Coupe.
Acura Integra GSR or Type R=known as one of the best handling FWD cars.

Mazdaspeed Protege=Best handing FWD sedan ever made. It was only made in 2003, but you could get them for under $6,000 these days. Most cost over $10,000, but some are under $6,000. They are turbocharged. Only 4500 ever made.

VW GTI, Toyota Celica, Mitsubishi Eclipse GT.

Prelude is a good idea if you are looking for American muscle go with a early 90s Mustang GT… Civic would also be another good choice, I’ve got a friend with a Civic that runs 12s in the quarter… he has spent a grande to make it do that

You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here – autoinsurance.maclenet.com
