The best car to turn into a street racing car?

What is the best car that i could find for under $3000 to turn it into a street racing car. What are the best parts & where can i find them?
i said street racing car, i never said to street race. i love the looks of the cars.

    1. Street racing isn’t cool take that **** to a track.
    2. Look at the old 5.0 Mustangs or LT1 Camaros/Firebirds. They are cheap, RWD, and have HUGE aftermarkets.

    old model camaro,s make good ones because you can buy the older style real cheap and Chev’s are the cheapest and easiest ones to build,here a good site for parts ,good luck,http://www.jegs.com/

    personally, i suggest you buy a honda prelude,

    1) change the rims to sport type. ( 19-20 inch)
    2) body kit.
    3) engine, turbo. etc.
    4) subs.
    5) drop the ride height. 1000%
