If you like racing and fixing up cars and you enjoy speed, then you might enjoy racing a nitro RC buggy. These cars aren’t toys that kids play with. They are more like big boys’ toys as they can be a little pricey and require building and fixing up just like real cars.
If this is you, you are probably also competitive and want your car to be faster than other cars. You might also take race car driving lessons so that you can become a better driver who can perhaps out drive another car similar to your simply because of your skills. With a nitro RC buggy or even an on-road car (nitro or electric for that matter), you will be able to explore all of the above inclinations. Racing and fixing up these hobby cars also takes practice and determination if you want to be good.
The good thing is, with RC cars, buggy or road cars, you can get the racing thrill, the sense of accomplishment of driving well and tweaking a car to run perfectly, all for a small fraction of the price of doing it in real cars. The only difference is that you are not inside the car. RC cars are really fun and can go very, very fast. If you think this is something you’d like to get into, check out http://nitrorcbuggy.org to join in on the discussions!

I have picked a car (a 75′ Monte Carlo, 350) and know were I am goin to race. Just don’t know exactly what I need to do. I have lost touch with my buddies that used to race, after I joined the military. So I am kinda clueless, so if some one could tell me were I should start. What should I do to the car, and any other tips.
Like I said Im not a guru, I can turn a wrench and know the basics thats really it. Just lookin to do this for fun, lookin to race in the stock street class, and maybe get into the modified later down the road.
